Хемуль#5996 | Тема: Моя твоя переводить!Ладно, вот ещё один небольшой (вроде бы) кусок, уже из другой новеллы. Свой перевод, надеюсь, скину завтра.
I'm an ordinary man. During the day, I work in a company as a webmaster. When night comes, I go back home to share my passion of manga and video-games online with other fans, under the pseudonym Keul. Always the same fine-tuned routine. Fortunately, I have a lot of friends and I often propose my talents in computer use on various projects, I'm active in the community, it prevents me from getting bored. There is always something to do. And also, everyone knows me, it's convivial. Not long ago, I heard about visual novels, those interactive books from Japan. The format seemed interesting, so I proposed to make one on the forum I usually visit. A fan-game of a popular anime we all liked when it came out. Several enthusiasts answered back, the project seemed to have a good start, and then we had to put together the story. I had ideas though, and I wasn't the only one, but we couldn't agree on a first complete draft and managing the team was a big challenge. And thus, in the end the members scattered away, one after the other. I didn't want to give up, I still wanted to continue this project, but it was a dead-end. At that time, nobody really dared to get involved in the creation of visual novels, it was way too complicated, and too discouraging. I had no one to ask counsel from. Apart from one girl. Helia. A blogger I had vaguely heard about and whose articles I sometimes saw popping up on the blogs’ aggregator website I built for the community. She was the only one assembling a team openly. I had never talked to her but out of desperation, and having nothing to lose, I left a comment, hoping that she may know more than the others. Meanwhile, web friends were mocking my stubbornness: “Your VN? It's fated to kick the bucket! You're not the first to try, and every one of them has failed.” I really had enough of this. As such, when she answered me, a bit sad to learn about our failure, trying to give me the few advices of her own, strangely, her words gave me some comfort. Just because it was reassuring to know that I wasn't the only one struggling with this. So, without thinking, I proposed my services as a programmer for her own projects. Surprised, she admitted that she was lacking in members (especially artists) and accepted gladly. I was now a part of her visual novels creator team. What was just supposed to be about giving a hand from time to time, to help out, took unpredicted proportions. This is how visualnovels changed my life...
